Spelling Results

This is my spelling results for today, the new word that I have learnt for today was Delaware. Delaware is a country, For me I have never heard about this country in my life also I kept on getting mixed up with delma the cup of tea brand. At first I thought that this word would be easy as pie but once you think about the brand delma and you just write it down.

Rangitoto trip college

This is my college that I made by using fotor, During this day people got tired yes, but we still had a good day, I would just like to say thank you to Mrs Kirkpatrick and the kids can people/ supervisor. My Supervisors name was Palua she stuck by my side when I needed her the most also she was kind to other along the walk. The best thing about this walk was going with the people that enjoy being with.

Make 100 Maths problem workout

This is my Maths problem workout. I solved this out by using all of the number that were put up also I only used times tables and addition, at first it was pretty hard but then I solved the answer out.

This is a maths game that has been put up on our weekly maths tumble, This took me 36.7 seconds to complete this task, this is very understanding once you complete this.   Every Symbol represents a number so as you can see the first set of numbers represents the ones then the next set represents the tens and so on.

Spelling words

This is my spelling results, I had gotten 67% out of 100%, I think that this is pretty low but I will work on my Spelling skills. The new word I have learnt was latter. At fist I thought they had gotten the word wrong and tried to spell ladder or later, The girls tried to look for the latter but they could find it.

This book is called Lily Alone by Jacqueline Wilson this type of book is a Adventure book. I was reading this book out on our deck and I tried to get the sun set while I was reading it.

My Recommendations

I would recommend this book to my cousin Maria and my sister Shinaye also my friend Mengchun because I think they would like this book because most of my family like reading adventure books and then Mengchun likes to read alot of books. This book is called Geronimo Stilton Valentine's Day Disaster.

This my cover replacement for my book that I am reading, The book is called lily alone also the author is called Jacqueline Wilson this type of book would probably be a adventure book because they go out for an adventure alone with no parents/parent to go with, my cover is better then the original book because the original is just a plane brown cover.

Recipe

Ingredients:

• 120g Butter
• 1 Packet (250g) of Griffin's Malt Biscuits - crushed
• 1/2 a tin (200g) of Sweetened Condensed Milk
• 1 Packet (190g) of Eskimo lollies or Fruit Puffs
• Dessicated Coconut

Instructions:

Warm butter and condensed milk in microwave.

Cut up Eskimo lollies into bite sized chunks.

Mix butter, condensed milk, crushed Malt biscuits and lollies together.

Form into a log shape. Roll in coconut.

Chill in fridge for 4 hours.

When set, cut into slices and serve.

This is my Cricket world cup presentation. We had to find out about this activity. This was fun to do.

My Head Count

This is my groups headcount. We had to solve each problem that was given to us. We all got 2 problems to solve each I could only put one up because the other one had to be fully completed. I had to chose carefully on which answer I was going to chose I had gotten the hardest question out of the whole lot.

My Highlights of Term 1

I Enjoyed all of the activities/things we did this term, because mostly everyone got involved and that were lots of fun!!. I learned how to add decimals and improper fractions and mixed fractions together, Because I had the best teacher in the world how had given up her time to teach her group. the trickiest thing I had to do/Learn was when I had to stand up in front of the class and say my Cook Island mihi, Because I was really nervous and I spoke loud and fast. My favourite subject this term was Art because It fun and It shows your emotions when you do some Art. I would like to improve on my maths in term 2. I mostly enjoyed in tech this term was baking Apple Crumble. Because it was very fun and I got to learn from doing this Activity. 

Spelling test

This is my spelling test. As you can see I got 21 correct and 4 incorrect. The easiest word that I had to do was Exertion. The girl painted with Exertion. The hardest word I had to learn was Executive. The man loved having Executive to put plans or actions into effect.

Meeting Shavaughn Ruakere

Today we meet someone very special and her name is Shavaughn Ruakere. She was our Duffy role model and she starred on many different types of shows she was on shortland street you might remember her as Roimata the one who passed away in the bomb, she also starred on what now and she was a host on Mai FM the radio. Her message to us were that... To get good jobs you have to know how to read, so you have to read everyday so you can be like her. She also Played a game called shortland street quiz she had Gozan and Briana as her contestants they both won and got duffy book. We area very lucky school to have her in today.

Famous/Important person Maie Pa Ariki

This is my famous person. Her name is Marie pa Ariki, She is the leader of leadership for woman. She is also a very confident speaker, she likes to stand up for woman Her famous speech/quote is     Women should be respected by others not just put down because they look different then you, or because you think they are weak because think again they are actually capable of more things then you think, So think twice about treating a woman differently then you should ever be treated. Marie Pa Ariki is also the queen of Cook Island. 

I did some reserch on her using safe search and BOOLEN search that also helped me I used keyword such as " Famous people in Cook Island?" or " The king and queen of Cook Island " and then it came up with her so I go her name and I searched up photos of her. I was also takign notes about her

Spelling test

I found this difficult because the words were very hard they were words that I didn't even know exists they were that hard. The easiest one I found was lieutenant that was the easiest word there. The new word that I learnt was Beige, Beige is a colour its a yellowish gold its very pretty. it is very hard to remember the word heterogeneous. Shinaye did a shrieking noise and it annoyed everyone. I used Shrieking because it show that I know the meaning of that word

My Question they had to Answer was What was your Hidden talent?.
I wanted to know what they could do but with other people thinking that they couldn't do it.
Singing was the highest Answer I got Which means 2 people ( 40% ) of people like singing also there is 2 people (40% ) of people like maths There is also 1 person ( 20% ) that is good at doing Reading.

My Family Ritual

My Family Ritual

My family Ritual is when we have bacon and eggs for breakfast we always do it on saturdays and sometimes sundays, thats only if my dad doesn't eat all of the bacon and not the eggs other why we can make pancakes. When we make bacon and eggs i’m always in charge of doing the bacon, normally I always burn the first one because I have people tugging at me asking for one. But as always you have to wait for the  end. Now this is what my family ritual is.

This family ritual represents what my family do every weekend and we like doing it because its really the only time we get alone or together because we have eachother going to school or pre school and then we have people at home looking after my sisters . So we like making a day to have for ourselves

...Starting my new school…

Rinnnnnnng! goes the bell at Waihi Central School, this was my new school yet first school I have been to. I was 5 years old at the time so this would have been 7 years ago, and I was very nervous. Through out the day I meet lots of new friends. Also my two auntys went to the same school as me so really I wasn't alone. At the end of the day my nan came to pick me up. I really had fun that day…
